Sharon R. Wexler, M.S.W., L.C.S.W.

Sharon R. Wexler,  M.S.W., L.C.S.W., is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been in private practice with the Behavioral Institute of Atlanta since its creation.  She began her career in the mental health field in 1974, and has worked both in the public and private mental health sectors, including inpatient and outpatient work.

With over 25 years of experience as a psychotherapist, Mrs. Wexler specializes in helping couples and families deal with a variety of problems, including those related to relationship issues, parenting problems, blended families and divorce.  She  also specializes in the treatment of adolescents, including problems with family relationships, depression, anxiety,  eating disorders, and identity and adjustment issues.  Mrs. Wexler has worked for many years with men and women struggling with depression and anxiety problems, both in individual, marital and family therapy.

Mrs. Wexler received her M.S.W. in Clinical Social Work from the University of Georgia in 1976.  She also graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Florida, with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1972. Mrs. Wexler has been married for 27 years and has two children.​
